Job summary

Eliassen Group in Burbank, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and secure enterprise identity platforms and services powering critical operations. This hands-on role requires cloud expertise, security focus, and collaboration with product, architecture, and QA teams.

The role involves implementing scalable IAM solutions, applying secure development practices, and delivering APIs/UI while leveraging AWS and containerized deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, and/or JavaScript.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and/or GraphQL services.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, and EC2.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployment.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including GitLab CI.
• Strong understanding of design principles, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including testing, code reviews, and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of secure software development practices.
• Experience with databases and data platforms including MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Neptune.
• Experience working within Agile development teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred: Experience with SDLC tools such as Jira, GitHub/GitLab, and Confluence.
• Preferred: 2+ years of Identity & Access Management experience.
• Preferred: Experience integrating with IAM platforms including Okta, SailPoint, and CyberArk.
• Preferred: Familiarity with GDPR, PCI, PII, and Safe Harbor.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver IAM applications, APIs, and user interfaces.
• Partner with Product Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Quality teams to implement scalable software solutions.
• Drive and influence software development best practices across the IAM organization.
• Collaborate with internal technology teams to deliver identity and access management capabilities.
• Perform code reviews focused on security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, documentation requirements, and development processes.
• Contribute to software architecture, troubleshooting, debugging, and technical design decisions.
