Job summary

King County's Department of Information Technology (KCIT) seeks an IAM Solutions Architect to lead strategy and design for enterprise IAM, streamline lifecycle management, and evolve the identity portfolio. Hybrid work is supported with in-office and remote capabilities; the primary onsite location is Seattle, WA.

The role requires deep IAM architecture experience and strong collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• In-depth experience designing and fine-tuning Enterprise Identity Architecture.
• Expert level knowledge on Active Directory and Entra ID.
• Understanding of PKI, Certificate Management and HSMs.
• Experience managing Enterprise Applications and Registrations with Managed Identities.
• Knowledge of Modern authentication related to Azure (SSO, MFA, tokens, passkeys).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with peer architects and staff to determine IAM designs for vendor and in-house solutions.
• Translate business requirements into long-term IAM architectures.
• Create and manage architectural roadmaps across projects and platforms.
• Consult with customers and stakeholders to align architectures with requirements.
• Keep up with changes in IAM technologies and security implications.
• Other duties as assigned.
