Job summary

Bayer AG in Chesterfield, MO is seeking a Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Technician on a 1-year contract. The role is primarily in-office with the ability to work from home one day per week and requires a college degree plus safety/training experience.

Responsibilities include supporting and developing HSE processes, incident prevention, emergency response, permits, training, and safety events. The position entails some light manual work and collaboration across the SSHE team.

Qualifications

• Requires a college degree and strong computer skills.
• Experience in safety and health training preferred.
• Ability to coordinate with vendors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Support, development and/or execution of HSE processes and activities (Incident Prevention, Emergency Response, Contractor and Guest Safety)
• Assist with Hazard Communication, training developments, and safety event planning
• Coordinate repair/calibration of emergency response equipment and maintenance of vehicles
• Review hazardous work permits and develop safety trainings
• Support Safety Events and Wellness Initiatives and safety audits/inspections
• Perform light manual tasks and organize storage areas as needed
• Maintain and update training slides and safety program documents
• Assist with updating Emergency Maps and SDS spot checks
