Job summary

Brandstetter Carroll Inc. in Lexington, KY is seeking an HR Generalist to run day-to-day HR operations across our five offices, with a focus on recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, and compliance.

This full-time role reports to the Head of Human Resources and offers a hybrid work schedule after 90 days, a competitive benefits package, and an opportunity to shape the employee experience at an award-winning architecture and engineering firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP (or PHR/SPHR) highly desired.
• 6+ years of HR experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruiting cycle, from job posting through offer, plus onboarding and offboarding.
• Handle employee relations, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary procedures.
• Lead employee engagement efforts, including surveys, events, and stay and exit interviews.
• Oversee payroll and administer health and retirement benefits, including annual open enrollment.
• Keep the firm compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws, and help maintain policies and the employee handbook.
• Facilitate the annual performance review process and support training and development programs.
• Serve as the HRIS (Paycom) administrator and look for ways to streamline HR processes.
• Travel periodically to BCI offices in Ohio and Texas.
