Job summary

Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking an Adaptation Technical Officer to drive delivery of home adaptation schemes. The role requires managing projects, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring works meet client needs while adhering to CDM and regulatory guidance.

You will join the Home Adaptations & Improvement Service within Housing Services, bringing a proactive, delivery-focused approach in a fast-paced environment with strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Direct experience in facilitating delivery of grant/loan funded Home Improvement and Disabled Adaptation Schemes.
• Skilled in negotiation & problem solving to ensure client needs are met.
• Experience in monitoring works by contractors, ensuring CDM compliance and legislative guidance.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate delivery of home adaptation and disrepair improvement schemes.
• Monitor contractor works to required standards and timescales.
• Ensure compliance with CDM, legislation, CoP and manufacturers guidance; manage multiple projects.
