Symetra is seeking an Associate High Yield Credit Analyst to join the High Yield and Bank Loan group. The position focuses on rigorous credit research, building fundamental views, and producing thoughtful research for corporate issuers in the US High Yield and Leveraged Loan markets.

The role requires 1–3 years of experience in credit or related fields, strong analytical and writing skills, and the ability to work in a hybrid environment based in Farmington, CT (2 days in office).

Formación

• 1–3 years of experience in credit research, equity research, investment banking or private equity.
• Basic understanding of investment concepts and strong writing, analytical and communication skills.
• CFA is a plus; strong interest in High Yield investing.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate company fundamentals, industry trends, operating metrics, and valuation.
• Develop investment theses and recommendations on single names with PMs.
• Identify investment ideas across capital structure on primary and secondary opportunities.
• Write research reports on single names and identify sector trends and outlooks.
• Perform due diligence on corporate borrowers, including analyzing credit agreements and management meetings.
• Interact with issuers' management and other stakeholders as required.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders and other analysts.
• Build relationships with sell-side peers and industry colleagues.
