Responsibilities

• Provide support to a clinical team to facilitate administrative components of referrals.
• Serve as liaison between hospitals, health plans, physicians, patients, vendors and referral sources.
• Review complex referrals for completeness and follow up for additional information.
• Assign referrals to staff as appropriate.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations when needed.
• Enter referrals and document communications, actions in the system.
• Multitask across calls, texts, faxes and digital queues while taking notes.
