Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in healthcare payment posting.
• Deep understanding of payer rules and medical billing systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
• Ability to break down and allocate lump sum payments across multiple accounts.
• Excellent analytical skills in interpreting remits and validating applications.
• Proficient in Excel and data reconciliation tools.
• Experience with payer portals, clearinghouses, and lockbox files.
• Familiarity with automated vs. manual posting environments and escalation procedures.
• Self-starter with problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong ownership and accountability for assigned tasks.
• Adaptable in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and manage revenue cycle activities with accuracy.
• Interpret EOBs, EFTs, ERAs, COB, and 835 files.
• Understand payer rules for Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and WC.
• Resolve denials and reconcile unapplied payments.
• Collaborate with billers, collectors, and payers to improve processes.
• Follow and improve internal SOPs and workflows.
• Learn EMR systems and related processes quickly.
