Job summary

Elevance Health, Inc. is seeking a Researcher Health Services to conduct health services, health economics and epidemiologic research for Elevance Health, Carelon and external clients. The role focuses on implementation sciences, population health, evidence-based care and policy research.

You will lead or support study design, analyses and reporting, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and impactful insights for senior leadership and clients.

Qualifications

• Requires MS, MPH or PharmD in epidemiology or health sciences; minimum 3 years in health service research or related field.
• PhD strongly preferred; postgraduate or post-doctoral training in observational and/or prospective research is a plus.
• Understanding of US health care system and population health is preferred.
• Proficient in statistical software (SAS, STATA, R, Python) and data management tools (SQL).

Responsibilities

• Lead or support scientific aspects of research activities including proposal development and data analyses.
• Develop protocols and analysis plans; contribute to reports and publications.
• Design databases and analysis files; communicate requirements to programming team.
• Analyze administrative claims, EHR, or survey data and review outputs for quality.
• Ensure final quality and accuracy of study deliverables and present insights to stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with study champions and convey scientific decisions to Elevance Health leadership.
