Hammer & NER in Minnesota is seeking a Health Services Manager to lead the Health Services Department, supervise nursing staff, and ensure quality medical care for individuals served. The role encompasses clinical assessments, direct nursing duties when needed, and collaboration with an inter-disciplinary team.

The position requires RN licensure in Minnesota, BSN preferred, and a strong commitment to person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in good standing with Minnesota.
• BSN preferred.
• Experience managing health services for people with disabilities and related conditions.
• Experience supervising, coaching, and mentoring a team of employees.
• Experience with aging populations in disability contexts.
• Knowledge of health practices, issues, and regulations for people with disabilities.
• Ability to teach, train and mentor staff in healthcare delivery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient with MS Office and SharePoint.
• Available for a flexible full-time schedule including some evenings, weekends, and overnights.
• Must have a valid driver's license and driving record per insurance requirements.
• Must pass MN DHS Background study and TB clearance.
• Commitment to working with diverse individuals and teams.
• Adhere to ethical code and maintain positive work environment under pressure.
• Strong recording and organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing and health care support within the scope of nursing practice.
• Oversee a small caseload and support the nursing team with coverage.
• Ensure nursing standards meet rules and regulations.
• Work with inter-disciplinary team to ensure best practices.
• Provide clinical supervision and consultation for hospital stays and hospice care.
• Direct and supervise nursing staff with timely feedback on policies and procedures.
• Lead in absence of Senior Director of Program Services.
• Attend weekly check-ins and ongoing staff communications.
• Participate in hiring and department meetings.
• Assist with special projects and liaise with outside vendors and agencies.
• Develop trainings for direct care workforce; act as Infection Control Officer.
• Contribute to development of nursing/medical projects and policies.
