Job summary

Howden is seeking a Health & Benefits Consultant to advise clients on employee benefits strategy, plan design, cost management, and compliance. This hybrid role supports clients across the US, with preferred locations including Miami.

You will partner with carriers and internal teams, lead renewal processes, analyze claims and funding arrangements, and help organizations attract, retain, and support their workforce. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of employee benefits consulting experience.
• Experience advising employer groups on health and welfare programs.
• Strong communication with senior stakeholders.
• Licensing/designations preferred (Life & Health; CEBS, SHRM, SPHR).

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary consultant for health and welfare programs for clients.
• Advise on healthcare cost management, plan design changes, funding arrangements, wellness initiatives, and engagement programs.
• Lead renewal processes including marketing, carrier negotiations, and financial analyses.
• Develop financial models and projections to support client decisions and optimize program performance.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA and related regulations.
• Support business development and client retention through cross-functional collaboration.
