Job summary

Marsh is seeking a talented analyst to join its Health and Benefits Actuarial and Financial Group in a hybrid Chicago/Houston role. You will perform in-depth healthcare data analyses with 1:1 mentorship, build client materials, and assist in cost projections using Marsh's valuation models.

The position targets students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or related fields, with graduation expected Fall 2027 or Spring 2028, and a path toward SOA designation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor's degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, economics, engineering or related fields.
• Enrolled student with expected graduation date Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Record of strong academic achievement (minimum GPA 3.0/4.0).
• Committed to pursuing SOA designation.
• Legal work authorization in the U.S. on a permanent basis without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform responsibilities comparable to full-time analysts with 1:1 support from experienced colleagues.
• Analyze health care data using spreadsheet and database management software.
• Assist in developing client communications, proposals, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
• Perform basic cost projections using client cost and enrollment data with Marsh's valuation model.
• Price medical and prescription drug plan designs using Marsh tools.
• Assist in developing customized pricing through alternate scenario modeling of plan designs, programs and/or employee contributions to meet employers' financial targets.
• Develop basic underwriting and actuarial skills and knowledge of health care plan design and cost factors.
• Work in a fast-paced consulting environment with colleagues across organizational levels.
