Job summary

Marsh in the United States seeks an experienced Senior Lead Health Actuarial Consultant to join our Actuarial and Financial Consulting teams. This hybrid role requires you to be in the office at least three days a week across our US locations, focusing on health benefits financial projections, plan design, and renewal negotiations, while guiding analysts and associates.

You will lead client engagements, review analyses for actuarial accuracy, and develop reports and presentations to summarize

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, finance, economics, or a related field required.
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience working in an actuarial field, with health and benefits consulting experience
• Proven progress to obtaining your ASA designation
• Client facing experience
• Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office—Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead routine client engagements, managing service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, renewals, benchmarking, and related health and welfare underwriting projects.
• Review data analyses conducted by junior staff to ensure actuarial accuracy and support their development.
• Perform and review complex analyses and cost projections using Excel, SAS, and other software; potential focus on healthcare-related insurance.
• Draft and review client reports and presentations to summarize findings and propose solutions.
• Handle day-to-day client interactions and guide junior team members in client management.
• Assist senior team members in business development by identifying growth opportunities and proposals responses.
