Job summary

A10 Networks, Inc in San Francisco is seeking a hands-on Hardware Engineer to support development, validation, and deployment of new hardware products and servers. You will work with Hardware, Software, QA, Manufacturing and cross-functional teams to ensure testing, configuration, documentation, and support throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities include NPIs, system bring-up, Linux deployment, Python scripting for test automation, and maintaining installation documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with hardware testing, system validation, server bring-up.
• Familiarity with Linux installation, configuration, and basic troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Python and scripting.
• Hands-on experience with computer systems and test equipment.
• Ability to read hardware specifications and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Execute hardware and system-level testing for new product introduction programs.
• Perform system bring-up, validation and readiness checks for new hardware platforms.
• Verify system checklists and ensure product requirements are met before release.
• Install and configure Linux and other required operating systems.
• Automating tests using Python and Tera Term scripts.
• Set up hardware systems for software development, integration, testing, and debugging.
• Support standard and AI server platforms, including initial configuration and functional validation.
• Develop, maintain, and improve hardware installation documents.
• Troubleshoot, debug, repair, and maintain new and legacy hardware systems.
• Provide sustaining engineering support to Software, QA, and other engineering teams.
• Investigate hardware issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate test results, issue reports, configuration records, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support project schedules.
