Montgomery Hospice, Inc. in Rockville, MD is seeking a grief counselor to join our hospice team. The role provides counseling to family members and the community via phone, online, and occasional in-person sessions, with a flexible 24 hours/week schedule.

You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, co-facilitate grief groups and workshops, and document all counseling activity. A Master’s degree in counseling or a related field is required, with hospice/grief counseling experience

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling or related field.
• Hospice and/or grief counseling experience preferred.
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Zoom and online communication platforms.
• Ability to work from home with some onsite visits in Rockville, MD.

Responsabilités

• Assess the impact of loss and support coping over time.
• Manage counseling caseload with documentation of issues and interventions.
• Collaborate to provide safe, effective grief groups and workshops.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to coordinate care.
• Coordinate ongoing education with grief counseling colleagues.
