Job summary
ISO New England Inc. is seeking an engineer/analyst to support capacity planning and accreditation initiatives. You will perform bulk power system simulations and collaborate with regional and national groups to refine methodologies for system adequacy and reliability. The role involves preparing clear reports and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
The position offers a hybrid work environment (3 days onsite) and relocation options as needed, with a competitive base salary and performance bonus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, OR Energy Systems.
- Ability to analyze large datasets and present findings clearly.
- Experience with Python, R, MATLAB, SQL or similar tools.
- Interest in electricity markets, system planning or energy policy.
Responsibilities
- Perform bulk power system simulations using GE MARS, SERVM, and PLEXOS.
- Coordinate with ISO teams and stakeholders for analyses and reports.
- Develop study methodologies and document objectives, methods and results.
- Support internal and external committees and regulatory discussions.
- Communicate complex analyses to diverse stakeholder audiences.
