Job summary

The Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) seeks a detail-oriented Transportation/Environment Project Coordinator to support fiscal, administrative and project coordination in the Transportation and Environment Department in Kansas City, MO. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, public administration or related field.
• Five or more years of related work experience.
• Three or more years managing review and payment of invoices for construction and consulting services, involving Davis-Bacon payroll.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure invoice information is consistent with vendor documentation, approved budgets and bid documents.
• Experience managing federal grants involving construction and federal reporting requirements is preferred.
• Familiarity with grant management resources, including OMB guidance and CFR.
• Must possess a valid driver's license from KS or MO and be able to travel for on-site assessments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate partner communication among MARC staff and partners, including meetings and trainings.
• Maintain project records and ensure accessible, current documentation.
• Track projects, contracts, timelines, amendments and milestones; verify work completed.
• Support procurement steps and contractor outreach, tracking RFPs and deadlines.
• Manage contract administration including document creation, reviews, signatures and insurance certificates.
• Process invoices; create purchase orders; route approvals; enter payments in MARC's fiscal system.
• Support Davis-Bacon payroll compliance through payroll reviews and on-site interviews.
• Support financial tracking and reporting for funders and stakeholders.
• Provide administrative and meeting support with agendas, minutes and updates.
