Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
• Thorough understanding of research administration guidelines of Federal and non-Federal sponsors supporting research and educational activities
• Thorough knowledge of applicable compliance requirements related to use of human or animal subjects in research
• Ability to manage significant volume of transactions
• Ability to perform complex financial analysis and customized reporting
• Demonstrated competence in the use of spreadsheet and database software in financial analysis, fiscal management and financial reports
• Ability to maintain independent judgment; strong organization and communication skills; and a customer service focus across broad and diverse subject areas

Responsibilities

• Award Administration/Subcontract Administrator/Post Award Administration: Review and negotiate awards; review terms and conditions; obtain final signatures; prepare sub awards and negotiate changes; ensure approvals and documentation; advise investigators and administrative staff; communicate essential terms of grant awards.
• Proposal Administration: Review calls for proposals; ensure compliance with sponsor and University policies; approve and submit proposals/grant applications; verify funding commitments.
• Other Activities: Participate in training and outreach; maintain data in tracking databases; assist with forms, website, and processes.
