Painresearchers in Phoenix is seeking a Grants and Contracts Administrator. Hybrid in-office one day per week, with potential for full remote for out-of-state candidates.

Reporting to the Manager, Grants and Contracts, this position oversees grants and contracts for the Phoenix research and sponsored programs office, assisting investigators with applications, negotiating budgets, and reviewing the grant lifecycle from pre-award through post-award while collaborating with internal and external

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty with research application development and submissions, coordinating with collaborating institutions and sponsor guidelines to ensure compliance.
• Facilitate development, coordination, execution and implementation of research contracts (MTA, DUA, sponsor and grant trials) and negotiate terms/budgets with sponsors.
• Develop proposal sections not specific to investigator expertise (budget narrative, facilities narrative, inclusion of minorities, protection of human subjects, etc.).
• Review and reconcile research financial reports to ensure correct cost allocations and post-award financial management with Finance.
• Monitor research spending against budget and escalate variances as needed.
• Assist faculty with managing deliverables such as progress reports and sponsor inquiries.
• Assist with the Annual Research Budget and provide information to support strategic decisions.
• Assist in the development of policies for grant submission and management.
• Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
