Job summary

SDSU Research Foundation is seeking a Development Specialist to strengthen proposal development, budgeting, and compliance for sponsored projects. You will support faculty and researchers by guiding proposal preparation, ensuring adherence to sponsor guidelines, and coordinating with funding agencies.

You will contribute to achieving SDSU’s research objectives through collaboration, accurate budgeting, and timely submissions, while navigating complex sponsor requirements and university policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business/admin or related field.
• 1 year of related and progressively responsible work in research administration or regulatory administration.
• Experience with pre-award processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support proposal development and submission procedures.
• Prepare and revise proposal budgets and monitor compliance.
• Coordinate communications with funding agencies and faculty; assist with electronic submissions.
