Job summary

San Diego State University invites applications for a Development Specialist within the SDSU Research Foundation's Sponsored Research Development department. You will strengthen proposal development, advise faculty on submission procedures, and help secure funding for research and education projects.

This hybrid in-office/telework role requires California residency and commutable distance to SDSU. Salary ranges from $5,858.67 to $6,589.95 per month with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field.
• One year of related and progressively responsible work experience in research administration including pre- or post-award processes.
• Experience using electronic research administration and submission systems (InfoEd, Banner, Etrieve).

Responsibilities

• Create and revise proposal budgets for diverse funding sources.
• Advise faculty on submission procedures and sponsor requirements.
• Facilitate communications with funding agencies and internal approvals.
• Manage electronic submission of proposals and related compliance tasks.
