Job summary

adidas is seeking a Designer Apparel for its Golf Apparel range in California. You will own assigned categories, translate briefs into concepts and manage the design process from research to handoff, ensuring consumer relevance, fit and cost targets.

You will collaborate with Product Marketing, Development and Materials teams to build a cohesive collection across Apparel, Footwear and Accessories, while advancing innovative silhouettes and performance solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design or related field.
• Strong portfolio showing concept development and execution in performance, sport, or lifestyle apparel.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Experience with cross-functional product creation teams and suppliers.
• Experience with fittings, garment construction and technical design processes.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and relevant 2D/3D design tools.

Responsibilities

• Research and interpret golf, sport, lifestyle, fashion and consumer trends for Apparel.
• Create concepts, sketches, graphics, color direction, material ideas and presentations for Apparel categories.
• Lead seasonal design execution for assigned categories, including Women’s Apparel.
• Translate concepts into design packages and handoffs, including CADs and specs.
• Apply adidas design language, brand standards and sustainability expectations.
• Present design concepts and seasonal stories at key meetings.
• Partner with Product Marketing to align with consumer needs and price points.
• Collaborate with Product Development to resolve feasibility, cost, fit and manufacturing considerations.
• Participate in fittings, prototypes and milestones with design feedback.
• Maintain design files, specs and milestones against calendar.
