Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Global Category Manager - Electronics to lead global sourcing strategies across multiple sites in the U.S. and internationally. This senior role drives cost-out, supplier optimization, and risk management while supporting new product development and operational excellence.

You will collaborate with operations, engineering, and quality teams to maximize value, improve supply continuity, and advance Eaton's One Supply Chain initiative, delivering measurable performance gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 10 years of experience electronics manufacturing/sourcing for electronic components.
• No relocation available; candidates must reside within a 50 mile radius of Beachwood OH, Charlotte NC, Highland IL, Menomonee Falls WI, Moon Township PA, Raleigh NC or Syracuse NY.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Lead global category and sourcing strategies to drive cost out, DPO, supplier diversity spend, working capital, quality, delivery, and service performance.
• Develop and execute enterprise sourcing initiatives that increase leverage and deliver sustainable cost savings.
• Negotiate and manage strategic supplier contracts and relationships to maximize value and ensure supply continuity.
• Define and govern category strategies using market intelligence, should-cost analysis, RFQs, e-auctions, and engagement programs.
• Guide regional and cross-functional teams to achieve procurement and transformation goals with data-driven solutions.
• Drive supplier performance management, annual reviews, and strategic negotiations with key suppliers.
• Benchmark and implement procurement best practices to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Partner with leaders and manufacturing sites to maintain uninterrupted supply at the most competitive total cost.
