Job summary

AZAD Technology Partners is seeking a Geographer to deliver advanced GIS services, data capture, storage, and spatial analysis for diverse geographic projects. The role involves working with relational databases supporting archaeological and cultural data.

The position is a two-year plus consultant role with high potential for long-term employment. It is hybrid based in Portland, OR, with on-site work four days per week and an hourly pay rate of $45.00–$53.00, depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Geography or related field with strong emphasis on computer assisted spatial analysis.
• Experience in GIS support and providing professional GIS services using computerized data capture, storage, and analysis.
• Expertise in integrated GIS/GPS principles, data collection techniques, geodesy, and datum transformations.
• Ability to develop and modify geo-processing models and scripts, and to design complex spatial analyses.
• Proficiency with GIS mapping and analytics software (ArcGIS Suite) and related app development tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional GIS services for a wide range of geographical projects.
• Lead or train technicians in GIS analytical procedures.
• Develop, maintain, and modify geo-processing models and scripts.
• Design and implement complex spatial analyses and databases.
• Diagnose and resolve spatial data discrepancies and projection issues.
• Work with GPS data collection and ArcGIS integration.
