Overview

Join AZAD as a Cartographic Technician and provide support and assistance to the Remote Sensing section of the Geomatics organization. The Geomatics organization provides facility-wide customer support including photogrammetry, remote sensing, and geographic information system products, and services. The organization also provides Geospatial support in the maintenance, operation and development of new facilities.

Position Details

This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid based in Vancouver, WA with onsite 1-2 days per week.

Compensation

The hourly pay rate range for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.93) is $33.61 to $39.93 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.

Qualifications

minimum qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or Geospatial sciences or a closely related field is required
• 4 years of Cartographic Technician experience is required.
• 2 years of directly related experience managing aerial imagery in advanced imagery processing and analysis techniques.
• Knowledge of various horizontal and vertical coordinate reference systems and datums.
• Demonstrated ability implementing standardized workflows.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License or RealID is required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS software is preferred.
• Experience with ERDAS Imagine software is preferred.
• Experience with MicroStation software is preferred.
• Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) is preferred.
