Job summary

Lancesoft is seeking a GIS editor for a 2-year assignment focused on updating, editing, and distributing geospatial data for electric utility networks. Onsite training is required for 8 weeks, then a hybrid rotation enabling some remote work based on client needs.

Weekly trips to our sub-headquarters for print distributions are part of the schedule. Candidates will maintain GIS models, perform data analysis, and handle field data with occasional travel in a union environment under supervision

Qualifications

• 1-2 years GIS experience (school or work-related).
• Must have knowledge/understanding to update the GIS system.
• Experience using GIS apps and maps and understanding relationships in GIS.

Responsibilities

• Perform assignments on work related to recording or producing information for Utility Systems.
• Maintain the GIS connected model with information from multiple sources.
• Perform analysis or queries to assemble data and prepare reports, charts and maps.
• Produce standard prints and ad-hoc plots for field requests.
• Maintain service point data and relationships to feeding sources.
