Job summary

In this role you’ll work across schools, units and programs, delivering educational presentations and endowment guidance, while promoting innovation in gift planning fundraising.

Qualifications

• Education/Training: bachelor's degree required; JD/CFP/CPA or advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: seven years in legal/accounting/alumni affairs, fundraising or related field.
• Strong communication and analytical skills essential for donor engagement and complex gift planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a portfolio of gift planning prospects and donors; advise on complex charitable giving strategies and prepare related documents.
• Collaborate with Duke schools, units and programs to promote planned gift strategies and provide endowment advice.
• Plan stewardship events, develop publications, ensure compliance with policies, and partner with colleagues to meet office goals.
• Travel locally, regionally and nationally; participate in occasional evening/weekend activities.
