Job summary

Orion Placement in Chicago, IL, is seeking an attorney licensed in Illinois with at least 2 years of Illinois insurance defense litigation experience. The role handles sophisticated general liability, tort, and employment matters from inception through resolution.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois with at least 2 years of Illinois insurance defense litigation experience.
• Indiana licensure and experience handling tort and employment matters are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of general liability, insurance defense, tort and employment matters.
• Represent clients through all phases of litigation: pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Develop litigation strategy and provide practical legal counsel to clients.
• Draft high-quality motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Appear in court, at hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to efficiently manage cases and maintain strong client relationships.
