Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney in Madison, NJ. The role involves handling complex insurance defense matters in state and federal courts, with a focus on civil litigation from intake to resolution.

The position offers a flexible hybrid schedule and opportunities to work with a seasoned team on cases for carriers, self-insured entities, and insureds. Applicants should have NJ admission, a JD, and 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in New Jersey and in good standing.
• 5+ years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Experience defending general liability, premises liability, and commercial auto liability claims.
• Experience with motion practice, report writing, discovery, and depositions.

Responsabilités

• Independently manage a civil litigation caseload from intake through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, written discovery, and dispositive and non-dispositive motions.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts.
• Handle court appearances, case management conferences, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Prepare initial, pre-trial, and status reports for clients and claims professionals.
• Work closely with Partners and other attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation.
