Wilson Elser's Madison, NJ office is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney to join a team of seasoned professionals handling complex matters in New Jersey state and federal courts.

Represent insurers, self-insureds, and insureds while managing a civil litigation caseload. This role offers a flexible hybrid schedule with a strong emphasis on client service and professional growth.

Formación

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in New Jersey and in good standing.
• 5+ years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Experience defending general liability, premises liability, and commercial auto liability claims.
• Experience with motion practice, report writing, discovery, and depositions.
• Trial and trial preparation experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with New Jersey court rules and eCourts filing.
• Superior written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines across a busy caseload.

Responsabilidades

• Independently manage a civil litigation caseload from intake through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, written discovery, and dispositive and non-dispositive motions.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts.
• Handle court appearances, case management conferences, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Prepare initial, pre-trial, and status reports for clients and claims professionals.
• Work closely with Partners and other attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation.
• Assist with trial preparation and trials as needed.
