Job summary

GL Seaman & Company is seeking a Designer to translate client needs into functional, visually compelling spaces. You will apply interior design expertise, space planning, product specification, and project coordination to deliver code-compliant results and client-focused solutions.

From concept to installation, you’ll collaborate with sales, clients, and internal teams to maintain ADA compliance, accurate construction documents, and timely delivery across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field.
• Experience in commercial interior design or contract furniture preferred.
• Proficiency with CET Designer, AutoCAD, CAP/2020 and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of the design process from programming and space planning to installation.
• Produce presentation materials, renderings, and client-facing design packages.
• Conduct field measurements, site verifications, and product inventories.
• Ensure designs meet ADA requirements, building codes, and project goals.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.
• Maintain current knowledge of manufacturer lines and industry trends.
