Job summary

The University of California, Berkeley Library seeks a Development Associate (Fundraiser 2) to support major gifts, donor stewardship, events, and communications within the development unit.

You will coordinate donor activities, prepare briefings, manage budgets, and help implement a new CRM system, while collaborating with front-line staff and the Executive Director of Development to advance philanthropic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience with donor relations and fundraising principles.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Knowledge of event planning, donor communications, and stewardship.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage donor calendar, visits, reports, and gift processing.
• Support donor events and coordinate with Library Events Coordinator.
• Prepare donor briefings and stewardship materials; assist CRM transition.
• Track funds and donor data; manage fund codes with UDAR.
• Seek professional development opportunities.
