Job summary

University of California-Berkeley seeks a Development Associate (Fundraiser 2) to support Library fundraising, donor engagement, events, and communications. The role provides admin services to the Library Development Office under the Executive Director of Development, collaborating with frontline fundraising and stewardship staff to secure resources.

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles and donor relations concepts.
  • Experience with donor communications, events, and stewardship.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently or in teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manages development calendar, donor visits, and fund development plan activities.
  • Supports donor events and large Library events, coordinating with events staff.
  • Prepares event briefings, meeting briefings, and stewardship materials for leadership.
  • Tracks funds, donor designations, and CRM data; prepares reports and acknowledgments.
  • Participates in staff training and development activities related to fundraising.
