Job summary

Madrona Venture Labs in Seattle is seeking a staff-level engineer to design and ship core product capabilities across frontend and backend. You will own projects end-to-end, from initial design through production, and iterate rapidly while maintaining high standards.

You’ll build AI-powered workflows, influence engineering practices, and collaborate with a high-performance, high-collaboration team. In-person presence 2-3 days per week is expected in Seattle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building production systems.
• Strong full-stack capability across frontend and backend.
• Experience with data-intensive applications, analytics or visualization.
• Familiarity with modern AI development and testing discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core product capabilities across frontend and backend.
• Own projects end-to-end from design through production and iteration.
• Build and refine AI-powered workflows (dashboard generation, data agents, evaluation loops).
• Establish and evolve engineering standards: testing, observability, reliability.
