Job summary

Cimarron Trailers, Inc. in Chickasha, OK seeks a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain web apps for customer-facing portals and internal tools. The role blends Next.js/React frontend work with Python and PHP backend services, plus opportunities to work on plant-floor automation software.

Hybrid schedule with 60% on-site at our Chickasha headquarters and 40% remote, reporting to the Technology Team. Requires 2–4 years of web dev experience and a BS in CS or related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 2-4 years of professional software engineering experience focused on web development.
• Hands-on experience with Next.js and React building production apps.
• Backend experience with Python and PHP, building/maintaining production APIs.
• Strong MySQL and PostgreSQL data modeling, querying, and admin fundamentals.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Experience deploying on AWS; server management & pipeline infra.
• Understanding of web security fundamentals (OWASP Top 10) and performance optimization.
• Willingness to learn hardware programming for plant-floor automation systems.
• Excellent communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack web applications across frontend, backend, and database layers.
• Build responsive, accessible UIs using Next.js and React.
• Develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs with Python and PHP.
• Model and optimize data in MySQL and PostgreSQL; tune queries.
• Develop software for plant-floor automation and hardware integration.
• Collaborate with product, design, and operations to translate requirements into solutions.
• Write clean, well-tested code and promote CI/CD best practices using Git, GitHub, and AWS pipelines.
• Build and maintain deployment infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines on GitHub and AWS.
• Participate in code reviews and pair programming to raise quality.
