Job summary

Cimarron Trailers, headquartered in Chickasha, Oklahoma, seeks a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain web apps supporting sales, operations, and manufacturing. The role blends frontend Next.js/React with Python and PHP backend services, plus hardware automation work in a manufacturing environment.

The position is based at our Chickasha HQ on a flexible hybrid schedule (60% on-site, 40% remote). You will collaborate across product, design, and operations, and contribute to CI/CD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 2-4 years of professional software engineering experience with web app development.
• Experience with Next.js/React in production.
• Backend experience with Python and PHP and production APIs.
• Solid MySQL and PostgreSQL data modeling and queries.
• Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• AWS deployment and server infrastructure familiarity.
• Strong web security and performance optimization knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack web applications across frontend, backend, and database layers.
• Build responsive, accessible UIs with Next.js/React.
• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and PHP.
• Model data and optimize queries in MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Develop software for plant floor automation and hardware integration.
• Collaborate with product, design, and operations to translate requirements into solutions.
• Write clean, tested code and participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
