Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a full‑stack software engineer to design, develop, and maintain tools supporting the Department of Energy's Nuclear Incident Response Program. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and five years of directly relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain DOE Q and SCI security clearances, potentially requiring a polygraph.
  • Graduate degree and modern software development experience are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test high‑reliability applications for emergency response missions.
  • Diagnose and resolve software issues across development, test, and production environments.
  • Apply agile practices, code reviews, and team-wide standards to deliver quality software.
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate requirements into software solutions.
  • Contribute to team coding standards and software quality initiatives.
