Job summary

Draper’s Full-Stack Group is seeking a mid-level engineer to build mission-critical web applications for national security. You’ll work under mentors to grow technical depth while delivering code that runs in real customer environments.

Responsibilities include developing features with React and Node.js/Python, writing tests, and supporting deployment pipelines. A Secret clearance and a bachelor’s degree are required, with hybrid on-site and remote work in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years professional full-stack development experience
• Ability to obtain an Active Secret clearance (existing Secret preferred)
• Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and a server-side language (Node.js, Python, or Java)
• Familiarity with Git and issue-tracking tools (Jira, GitLab, etc.)
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Responsibilities

• Develop features and fix bugs under guidance of senior staff using React+TypeScript and a back-end language (Node.js/Python)
• Write unit and integration tests; adopt test-driven development practices
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Review code with peers and gradually own small components or services
• Support deployment pipelines and monitor production health (logs, alerts)
