Job summary

Delta Dental of California seeks a Senior Systems Administrator - FP&A to plan, implement, maintain, and support I&O and IT solutions that meet FP&A business needs. You will analyze, test, and translate specifications for developers and programmers while collaborating across IT and business units.

The role oversees FP&A systems including Oracle EPM Cloud, PCMCS, and EDMCS, performing upgrades, data integrity, security, and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience supporting enterprise financial planning, reporting, and business applications.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, processes, and best practices.
• Proficiency with Oracle EPM Cloud, Planning, PCMCS, EDMCS, Smart View, Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Essbase, Oracle Fusion Cloud, and similar EPM/ERP platforms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle EPM Cloud and other core FP&A applications, tools, reports, and databases.
• Prepare Oracle EPM Cloud/Hyperion and other FP&A applications for planning, modeling, reporting, analytics, and cost allocation.
• Oversee and maintain the integrity of data and logic within FP&A applications from input to extraction to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with Technology and other Delta Dental teams in managing Oracle EPM Cloud/Hyperion and other FP&A applications to maintain and enhance the operation and security of those systems.
• Implement best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance, and system performance.
• Assist users with questions and problems related to FP&A applications and data.
• Train users of FP&A applications and databases and maintain appropriate system and process documentation.
• Support FP&A and other Finance teams in meeting critical process and project timelines and due dates with high quality deliverables and output.
• Monitor current processes, system health and performance to identify existing or potential problems and new systems or data enhancements.
• Design, implement, and test application upgrades to meet the business and user needs, including the deployment of automation, AI, and other innovative technologies.
• Meet and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish scope, system goals, and requirements for Oracle EPM Cloud- and FP&A-related projects.
• Develop, analyze, prioritize, and organize requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow.
• Define and coordinate the execution of testing procedures and develop test cases to serve the overall quality assurance process.
