Job summary

Urban Science in Detroit is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Regional Finance Manager with monthly financial processes and analytics. This role collaborates with FP&A on budgeting and forecasting, in a hybrid setup with in-person Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Detroit, MI office.

Qualifications

Must have a baccalaureate degree with a focus in Accounting or Management Information Systems from an accredited U.S. college or university, or equivalent foreign institution.
Three to five years of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with month end close duties, including revenue journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement reviews.
Support process of validating and reconciling results during month-end close process.
Support adherence to all corporate finance policies and required activities.
With guidance, use monthly financial statements, variance reports and other standard monthly, weekly or daily reports to analyze financial and operating results in support of regional and corporate business management.
Key resource for producing labor and revenue reporting and answering related questions.
With guidance, assist stakeholders in understanding the content of standard monthly reports and provide guidance use in monitoring business performance.
Provide support during yearly budgeting process.
Provide support for monthly forecasts.
