Job summary

Stanley Reid & Company seeks a Forward Deployed Data Engineer for a hybrid role near Reston, VA. You will work with government customers to implement SaaS products from setup to configuration and ongoing maintenance, with onsite time about 50%.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Python, AWS cloud (S3, EMR, EKS, IAM, Redshift), SQL tuning, Airflow, and FedRAMP/FISMA controls, plus strong client-facing skills and experience with CI/CD, GitOps, Kubernetes (EKS) and IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing and deploying in Python.
• Experience with AI/ML pipelines and secure deployment of ML models.
• Experience deploying cloud-native architectures on AWS including S3, EMR, EKS, IAM and Redshift.
• Experience with SQL including window functions, CTEs, and large datasets.
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow.
• Experience implementing FedRAMP/FISMA controls.
• Experience in a customer facing role.
• Kubernetes experience, preferably EKS.
• Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience in GitOps and CI/CD - Jenkins, GitLab, CI or similar.

Responsibilities

• Work with government customers to implement SaaS products from setup to configuration and ongoing maintenance.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced hybrid remote team with approximately 50% onsite time near the DC metro area.
• Ensure secure deployment practices and regulatory compliance across projects.
