Job summary

Samsara is hiring a firmware engineering intern-MCU to develop software for gateway and sensor devices. You will work on embedded systems used in real-world IoT deployments, focusing on hardware bring-up, drivers, bootloaders, and energy-efficient design.

You will gain hands-on experience across the product lifecycle, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to scalable firmware that runs on millions of devices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completing a Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE or related field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with firmware engineers to design, develop and maintain embedded software for gateway and sensor products.
• Bring up new hardware platforms: configure I/O, debug interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, ADC), test connectivity and validate startup.
• Implement peripheral drivers, secure bootloaders and device firmware update, and core management layers.
