Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Architectural or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; travel frequency varies with project demands.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive fire protection engineering designs including layouts and system details.
• Act as QFPE for federal projects with life safety and fire suppression analyses.
• Review designs for compliance with NFPA, UFC and local regulations.
• Create fire protection and life safety designs and evaluations (egress, fire separations).
• Evaluate systems using HydraCAD, HydraCALC or similar software.
• Collaborate with sales to prepare RFP proposals and review draft proposals.
• Mentor junior staff and potentially supervise engineers on projects.
