Job summary

State of Utah is seeking a Financial Analyst to support banking operations, reconciliations and reporting from Salt Lake City. The role blends accounting work with state vehicle and tax systems and requires familiarity with government processes.

Hybrid work arrangement is offered with eligibility for full benefits. Applicants must pass background checks and can apply by the 11/4/2026 deadline. Salary ranges are posted with two levels of responsibility.

Qualifications

• VADRS testing experience is preferred.
• Basic understanding of governmental accounting concepts.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.
• Two or more years of accounting experience or related higher education.

Responsibilities

• Bank reconciliations
• Returned check processing
• Daily update of bank transactions
• Motor vehicle registration and payment issues
• Motor vehicle related reporting
• Clearing account reconciliations
• Work with several banks to resolve discrepancies
• Reconcile vouchers issued by other state agencies
• Motor vehicle system testing
