Job summary

Aegon is seeking an Investment Reporting accountant responsible for monthly accounting processes, including journal entry preparation, suspense balance monitoring, and reconciliation approvals to ensure accurate financial records.

You will maintain core system integrity in Clearwater Analytics, analyze financial data for regulatory reporting (Statutory, IFRS, US GAAP), and develop both standard and ad-hoc reports for senior leadership. Hybrid work in the United States is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced computer skills and system literacy.

Responsibilities

• Handle monthly accounting processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain data quality in Clearwater Analytics and respond to inquiries about results.
• Extract data from Clearwater Analytics to troubleshoot discrepancies.
• Assist with regulatory financials on Statutory, IFRS, and US GAAP bases.
• Analyze financial data to explain past performance and project future results.
• Develop standard and ad-hoc financial reports for senior leadership.
• Identify process improvements and participate in testing.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal partners to resolve needs.
• May participate in and/or lead project teams.
• Maintain positive relationships with internal customers.
• Apply accounting concepts to moderate scope assignments and suggest procedural changes.
• Adhere to internal controls framework.
