Job summary

The Institute for Cyber Enabled Research (ICER) at Michigan State University seeks a finance coordinator to oversee purchasing, billing, and related accounting tasks. Qualifications

• Four-year degree in accounting or finance.
• Six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in accounting, auditing or financial analysis.
• Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting practices.

Responsibilities

• Billing – adminster direct billing for units using fee-for-service models and process billing for storage usage, renewals, adjustments, and cluster services.
• Purchasing – manage renewals and procurement of software and oversee hardware, equipment, and storage purchases, including tracking usage.
• Account Ledgers – locate and document source expenditures in Enterprise Business Systems and reconcile unit expenses, including travel and supplies.
• General Office Duties – prepare ad hoc financial reports and oversee administrative tasks as assigned.
