Job summary

Metropolitan State University of Denver seeks an Operations Coordinator to bridge financial aid operations, compliance and systems. The role collaborates with the Financial Aid Systems leadership to optimize the SIS and federal/state aid processing, while developing training materials and ensuring accurate data workflows.

The position supports end-user training, system enhancements, and regulatory compliance, helping to advance Enrollment Management goals and student success through improved

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years’ experience working at a college or university.
• 2 years of experience in higher education administration.
• Experience using a student information database.
• Experience supporting and/or coordinating projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of the SIS as it impacts processing of student accounts and financial aid.
• Develop knowledge of Federal Student Aid systems and utilities and their impact on data exchange.
• Gather feedback from operations and coordinate follow-up actions with systems team.
• Administrate the systems team request intake platform and resolve escalations.
• Create documentation and training resources to support end users and compliance training.
• Monitor data files, schedules, and processing lists; research issues and propose improvements.
• Process and review system generated exception reports.
• Provide seasonal support for importing, exporting, and storage of financial aid records.
• Identify end user requirements and document acceptance criteria for SIS transition.
