Hawaii Pacific University is seeking a detail-oriented financial operations professional to join the Business Office team in downtown Honolulu. The role focuses on maintaining financial controls over federal student aid refunds, employee waivers, and related transactions, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.

The position supports interim and year-end closing, prepares audit work papers, and delivers ad hoc analyses to aid management decisions.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience or an Associate’s degree and four years of related experience.
• Two years of experience with computerized accounting programs.
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams or comparable software.
• Two years of experience working directly with students and/or customers to provide customer service.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee administrative and financial tasks for the Financial Aid Office.
• Reconcile campus-based programs and maintain internal controls over financial aid refunds and employee waivers.
• Assist in closing processes and prepare work papers for annual audits.
• Prepare monthly closing journal entries for interest income and bank charges.
• Coordinate internal and external audits of accounting records and financial statements.
