Job summary

Mythical, based in Burbank, is seeking a Manager, Finance & Business Operations to support financial operations and manage partner relationships.

This role bridges internal teams and external accounting/finance partners to ensure timely financial reporting, cash flow visibility, and consolidated reporting across affiliates and investments. Reporting to the President, it follows a hybrid in-office schedule in Burbank.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience across finance operations, accounting coordination, financial reporting, FAST or partner management.
• Strong financial and analytical skills, including reviewing financial statements, building financial models, and working with budgets and forecasts.
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with financial and operational data.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage recurring monthly and quarterly workflows across multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
• Ability to independently drive follow-up, identify unresolved issues, and bring open items through completion.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an internal liaison with external accounting and finance partners for timely reporting and resolution of items.
• Support the monthly close by coordinating with department leaders to review statements and close outstanding items.
• Review monthly financial reporting and identify variances or follow-up items.
• Maintain the company-wide cash flow forecast with actuals and future commitments.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting across departments for consolidated reporting.
• Improve internal financial processes, reporting tools, and cross-functional workflows.
