Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP is seeking a File Systems Engineer to design and implement storage subsystems for HPC and AI workloads in a hybrid environment. You will work on Lustre and Linux kernel I/O stacks, optimize I/O paths, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-performance storage solutions.

The role requires strong C programming skills, experience with Linux internals, and a track record of testing and debugging complex distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Typically, 4-7 years' experience.
• Strong proficiency in C, and Python, Bash, or Rust.

Responsibilities

• Designs enhancements, updates, and programming changes for specific subsystems of parallel file systems (Lustre).
• Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities.
• Writes and executes complete testing plans and documentation for storage subsystems; debugs I/O call stacks and kernel bottlenecks.
• Collaborates with engineering teams to develop high-performance storage solutions for HPC/AI workloads.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
